Kennet Valley has many faces...

The contrasts of forest, downland and the wealth of wildlife and open spaces make North Wiltshire an outstandingly beautiful part of England.

The Kennet Valley

Widely known for its tourist attractions, the Kennet Valley also has a growing business community. If you ask those people who have moved to live and work here why they chose to do so, you'll often hear the phrase 'for a more civilised life.'

Although close to the M4 Corridor - and just over an hour from London by train - the delights of living in an unspoilt market town or village and being able to walk to work, all contribute to a very attractive lifestyle.

Marlborough - Riverbank's home

Marlborough is an attractive and vigorous market town with major High Street names such as Waitrose, Phase Eight, Country Casuals, Monsoon, Boots, Toni & Guy and many others.

The town's historic main street (reputedly the widest in Britain), Marlborough College and the restored 17th century Merchant's House museum are all famous. There are plenty of hotels, restaurants and pubs and the road and public transport links with the nearby towns of Swindon, Calne, Chippenham, Hungerford, Newbury, Devizes and Salisbury are excellent.

Within 15 minutes of Marlborough are the ancient sites of Avebury,  Silbury Hill and many picturesque villages such as Aldbourne, Ramsbury and Pewsey.
